Family Therapy

In the fabric of our lives, our families play a profound role in shaping who we are and who we become, for better or for worse. It is within the family unit that we absorb our vocabulary, cultivate our habits, embrace our customs, and partake in our rituals. It is here that we learn to perceive and interact with the world around us.

There are moments when seeking family therapy becomes a meaningful choice, a path toward understanding and healing. Whether it's navigating the complexities of divorce, smoothing the rough edges of parent-child conflicts, fostering harmony between siblings, or facing the challenges of domestic violence, family therapy provides a supportive space.

Family therapy also extends compassion to families grappling with the unexpected or traumatic loss of a loved one, those navigating the delicate and sometimes difficult journey of adoption, and anyone looking to address and heal the wounds that may have accumulated over time.

If any of these scenarios resonate with your family, consider the gentle embrace of family therapy. It's an s opportunity to come together to navigate familial bonds, fostering understanding, and nurturing the collective resilience of your family unit.

Couples Therapy

Entering the realm of couples therapy is like embarking on a shared journey towards understanding, connection, and growth. It can serve as a reflective mirror, allowing partners to gain insights into their dynamics, patterns, and communication styles. With the guidance of a skilled therapist, couples can explore the roots of any challenges they may be facing and develop effective strategies for navigating them together.

Couples therapy an opportunity for open and honest communication where words become bridges to connect the partners as they express their feelings, desires, and concerns in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Through this dialogue, couples often discover new layers of understanding and connection that contribute to the strengthening of their relationship.

The therapeutic journey isn't solely about addressing conflicts; it's about nurturing intimacy and rediscovering the joy and shared dreams that initially brought you together. As couples learn to communicate more effectively, they often find renewed closeness and a deeper appreciation for each other's unique qualities.

In the gentle embrace of couples therapy, partners not only find solace for current struggles but also discover a path towards a more harmonious, connected, and fulfilling shared life.

Therapy for Trauma

In the journey of life, most of us will encounter trauma along our path. Whether it's the echoes of a car accident, the scars of abuse or neglect, the sudden departure of a loved one, the aftermath of a violent act, the shadows cast by the brutality of war, or the upheaval caused by a natural disaster, trauma weaves its way into the fabric of our experiences.

For some, the resilient threads of time and the warmth of family and friends lead to a gradual recovery. Yet, for others, the tendrils of lasting trauma persist, leaving a person to navigate the landscape of deep emotional pain, fear, confusion, or post-traumatic stress long after the event has retreated.

In these moments, the presence of a therapist becomes an indispensable source of support, guidance, and assistance on the journey to healing from trauma. Together, we gently unravel these emotions, creating a safe space to explore and understand, fostering a path towards restoration and peace. Your healing becomes a collaborative and compassionate journey toward reclaiming your sense of self.

Therapy for Women

Let’s face it, it is difficult to figure out how to live in a world of contradictions, and even more difficult as a woman. Women typically play many roles in their lives and are intimately involved in the lives of others. These roles often include partner, friend, mother, employee, caretaker of children, caretaker of aging parents, taxi driver, protector, home maker, cook, provider, housekeeper, daughter - just to name a few.

Coping with all the responsibilities whether you were assigned the responsibility, or it was assigned to you by someone else can be challenging. Where do you as a person fit into all the responsibilities and priorities in your life, goals, and ambitions? Where and how do you prioritize yourself?

Therapy for Anxiety and Depression

If you’re struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression, or both, you are not alone. We’ve been through a pandemic.  We’ve seen huge economic changes, wars, increased crime.  It is difficult to wrap our heads around how we should react, could react, are capable of reacting in a healthy, loving, nurturing way.  What are you receiving in return?

It is about what the prolonged uncertainty is doing to us emotionally and to our souls. There is a Covid reckoning. For several years, we marched - we survived. Now, we are coming out the other side. We are learning to live alongside an ongoing pandemic and general unrest. How do we do that?

The journey to healing starts with the decision to take the first step.

I am here to support you on this journey towards feeling lighter, safer, and living a more fulfilling life.
